Q.1: बाढ़ की खबर सुनकर लोग किस तरह की तैयारी करने लगे?
Ans : बाढ़ की खबर सुनकर लोग जरूरी सामान जैसे पीने का पानी, खाने की वस्तुएँ, करोसीन तेल, मोमबत्ती, कंपोज की गोलियाँ, घाव आदि की दवा और जरूरी सामान इकट्ठा करने लगे। नीचले हिस्से में रहने वाले परिवार ऊपर छत पर जाने लगे।
Q.2: बाढ़ की सही जानकारी लेने और बाढ़ का रूप देखने के लिए लेखक क्यों उत्सुक था?
Ans : लेखक ने शहरी इलाके में बाढ़ का सामना पहली बार किया था । अधिक आबादी वाले शहर में बाढ़ का क्या असर होता है, लेखक बाढ़ के प्रति शहरी लोगों की प्रतिक्रिया भी देखने के लिए उत्सुक था।
Q.3: सब की जबान पर एक ही जिज्ञासा- ‘पानी कहा तक आ गया है?’- इस कथन से जनसमूह की कौन सी भावनाएँ व्यक्त होती हैं?
Ans : इस कथन में जनसमूह के मन में एक ऐसी जिज्ञासा होती हैं जिसमें डर समाया होता है ताकि लोग बाढ़ के पानी से अपनी रक्षा कर सकें और जरूरत का सामान इकट्ठा कर सकें और आने वाले खतरे का आकलन कर सकें।
Q.4: ‘मृत्यु का तरल दूत’ किसे कहा गया है और कयौं?
Ans : बाढ़ के पानी को मृत्यु का दूत कहा गया है। यह अपने साथ भयंकर विनाश लेकर आती हैं। बाढ़ के पानी के चपेट में आकर कई लोग मृत्यु को प्राप्त हो जाते हैं और कई बाढ़ के बाद होने वाली बीमारियों के शिकार होकर के गाल में समा जाते हैं। इसलिए इसे मृत्यु का तरल दूत कहा गया है।
Q.5: आपदाओं से निपटने के लिए अपनी तरफ से कुछ सुझाव दीजिए?
Ans : आपदाओं से निपटने के लिए कुछ सुझाव: 1 मौसम विभाग आने वाली आपदा की भविष्यवाणी करें । 2 आपदाओं को रोकने के लिए सुचारु प्रबंध किया जाए । 3 प्रशासन को आपात काल में होने वाली बीमारियों को रोकने का इंतज़ाम करना चाहिए । 4 लोगों को आपात काल के लिए भोजन सामग्री, ईंधन, दवाइयाँ, आदि रख लेनी चाहिए । 5 आपदा आने पर प्रशासन लोगों को राहत के लिए जल्द से जल्द प्रबंध किया जाए ।
