or metabolic efficiency of a living organism. In humans, it is the general
condition of a person’s mind and body, usually meaning to be free from illness,
injury or pain
(as in “good health” or “healthy”).
Difference between Healthy and Disease Free
HEALTHY

is a state of physical,mental and social wellbeing .

refers to the individual, physical and social environment.

individual has good health.
DISEASE FREE
1). It
is a state of absence from disease.
2). The
individual many have good health or poor health.
3). It
refers individual.
PRINCIPLES OF PREVENTION OF DISEASE
Water borne microbes
We can prevent exposure by providing safe drinking water.
AIR borne microbes
We can prevent exposure
by providing conditions that are not over crowded
vector borne infections
We can provide clean
environment, for example, would not allow mosquito breeding.

suspended in the air for some time. For example, the infectious agent
causing T.B can enter a new host through airborne
transmission.
INDIRECT TRANSMISSION
Indirect
transmission is when infectious agents are transmitted such as air, food,
water, objects or substances in the environment, or other animals. Indirect
transmission has three sub types:

without need for intermediates such as air, food, water, or other animals.

modes of transmission can occur in many ways.
